Launch of My Choice App for Youth, Parents & Families
On Thursday February 14 2019, National Condom Day, we launched Family Planning Tasmania’s new sexual health App My Choice.
The launch took place at YFCC youth centre “the Junction” and was supported by Hon. Ruth Forrest, MLC, members of the LARC4U reference group, Burnie’s Local Enabling Group, other key stakeholders and staff. It was a perfect location as “the Junction” is one example of supportive community environments that are available to youth.
Since the launch we have circulated My Choice info flyers to many of our stakeholder networks across the state as well as attending Provider network meetings and visiting most of the GP practices on the NW coast.
To continue to support Tasmanian’s taking control of their sexual and reproductive health, we as ask for your help to promote the My Choice App.
The My Choice App can be downloaded at www.fpt.asn.au/app and includes:
- Contraceptive choices and reminders
- Sexual health information
- Period and mood calendar
We have had 390 downloads to date and ask all those involved with Family Planning to share the link to this wonderful and exciting new App.
