Sarah Steel – Board Chairperson
Qualifications and Skills: BA, MBA (distinction), GAICD. Project and Change Management, Housing Strategy.
Experience: Board Member since October 2021.
Jess Deans – Board Vice-Chairperson
Qualifications and Skills: Associate Degree in applied health and community support. Skills are program management, strategic planning and youth advocate.
Experience: Board Member since 2014 (with 18 months leave, returning 2022).
Peter Hollister – Board Member
Qualifications and Skills: Diploma in Community Services (Disability), local government.
Experience: Board Member since 1994.
John Dowling – Treasurer
Qualifications and Skills: Qualified Accountant (CPA), Director of the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy and the Cradle Coast Authority. He is the Chairman of Meridian Lawyers. John Dowling served on the Pharmacy Guild’s National Council for over 21 years as Tasmanian President and National Councillor.
Experience: Board Member since 2022.
Chris Young – Board Member
Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor of Commerce and Laws, community services, legal services (NGO and government), community programs.
Experience: Board Member since 2015.
Hon. Peter (Sid) Sidebottom
– Board Member
- BA (Hons), Dip. Int.R., TTC.
- Don College Teacher & AST-3 from 1975–1998 (Histories, the Arts, Studies in Religion. English.)
- Councilor on Cradle Coast Council (1996–1998)
- Federal MP for Braddon (1998–2004; 2007–2013)
- Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Forestry, & Fisheries (2011–2013)
- Current Chair of the Board of Directors of the Cradle Coast Authority (2017 –)

Steve Lucius – Board Member
Qualifications and Skills: Associate Diploma Graphic Art; Certificate Art and Design; Brand strategist and activist; Partner We are People People.
Experience: Board Member since October 2021.
Dylan Butt – Youth Representative
Qualifications and Skills: Passionate about spending time with family and friends, engaging with the community, and promoting personal development and wellbeing both physically and mentally.
Experience: Board Member since October 2023.
Mel Blake – Board Member
Qualifications and Skills: Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice and Graduate Certificate in Business. 20+ years of experience working in the community services sector, predominately in youth pathways and transitions. Experience in program management, collaboration and capacity building.
Experience: Board Member since 2023 (previous Board Member 2006–2009)

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor of Laws, GAICD, Diploma in Management, governance, strategic planning, human resources, marketing.
Experience: 18 years in community sector.
Sarah Merrick – Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting/Marketing), Master of Business Administration (Leadership)
Experience: 25+ years working across both commercial and government (not for profit) sectors. Experience in Financial, Project, Strategic and Operational Leadership.
Graham Marshall – Operations Manager
Qualifications and Skills: Diplomas in Management and Governance, project, people and contract management.
Experience: 15 years in community services sector.
