November 2020 marked a significant milestone for YFCC as we celebrated 40 years of offering services and supports to North West Tasmanians. The organisation started with a small group of concerned community members working to address the issue of homelessness for young women in the community.
From humble beginnings we have grown to now offer a range of services and supports to community members in the North West, West Coast and on King Island.
On November 20th current and former staff and Board members came together to mark this auspicious occasion at the Devonport Surf Club. ‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has’ – Margaret Mead.
