National Children’s Week is an annual event which aims to raise awareness of Children’s rights and especially children having the right to enjoy their childhood. This year, from the 24th of October to the 1st of November, National Children’s Week will be held around Australia. The theme for 2020 is: ‘Children have the right to choose their own friends and safely connect with others’.  While most years this week has included large celebrations of children, their rights, and their achievements, due to COVID-19 this year will be a little different, with a focus on smaller, local events and activities. This year for National Children’s Week, YFCC will be celebrating children while ensuring their safety is of the utmost importance and ensuring the rights of every child is at the forefront of all within the community.
