Evidence shows that drinking alcohol greatly increases your risk of cancer.

Based on this, Cancer Council Tasmania recommends people limit drinking alcohol. If you don’t drink, don’t start. For people who do choose to drink alcohol, the NHMRC recommends no more than 10 standard drinks per week (and no more than four standard drinks on any one day).
