Youth Development Coach
Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a lasting impact? YFCC is seeking engaging and dedicated individuals with expertise in Youth and Housing Support Services to help drive positive outcomes for young people.
About the Role
As a Youth Development Coach, you will mentor and support young people, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills. Your role will include:
✔ Coaching and facilitating programs
✔ Strengthening family connections where possible
✔ Supporting transitions to stable living arrangements
These positions are based at Malana – Youth at Risk Centre in Launceston, a 24/7 temporary accommodation and support service for unaccompanied children and young people aged 12-15. Working collaboratively with community partners, we aim to improve youth wellbeing and provide tailored support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments
- Provide brief interventions, education, and information
- Offer supported referrals and outreach services
- Undertake case management
- Promote independent and healthy living skills

What You’ll Need
- Diploma in Community Services or an equivalent qualification
- Current Driver’s Licence
- National Police Check & Working with Vulnerable People Registration
- Availability for overnight and weekend shifts
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
