Youth Coach – Fit For Work Program

Full-time, fixed-term contract | Greater Launceston Region

Be the spark that helps young people discover their potential.

Are you an experienced youth coach or mentor with a deep commitment to helping young people succeed? This is your opportunity to join a proven Youth, Family and Community Connections (YFCC) youth employment program, Fit For Work (FFW) designed to change lives and futures.

About the Program

FFW works with local Workforce Australia and DES providers in the Launceston region to identify young jobseekers (aged between 15 and 25 years) who need additional supports to enter the workforce. The FFW Youth Coach works intensively with participants for 6 to 12 months to foster positive health and wellbeing practices, build relationships and social connections, and encourage participation in soft employment skills training. The project aims to support participants to rebuild their health, confidence and lost social capital, so they are more likely to secure meaningful employment and become independent of welfare support.

This is a chance to work in a values-driven Organisation that focuses on safety, respect, inclusion, and innovation, and believes every young person has the ability to achieve their goals.
