Board Member – Youth Family and Community Connections
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Board of Governance. In this role you have an opportunity to work with skilled professionals, learn and grow as a strategic leader and make a genuine contribution to North West and Northern Tasmanian Community.
As a Board member you will:
- Work collaboratively and diligently with the Board of Governance to shape and advance strategic goals
- Attend Board meetings, and contribute to a high-performing Board culture
- Ensure the organisation stays true to its mission, has robust governance frameworks, and meets regulatory, financial and legal requirements
- Work with fellow Board members to contribute to the success of the organisation.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has business or community leadership experience and is confident contributing to discussions of strategic importance.
- Demonstrates strategic thinking, strong governance understanding and a commitment to excellence
- Has professional skills and experience in finance
- Has excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement skills
- Is available for regular Board meetings and willing to invest time in the role

Eligibility for Board membership:
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- National Police Check
- Eligible for or have a Directors ID
- Completion of the on-line Safeguarding Children and Young People training provided by Justice Tasmania.
- Resident of the North West or North of Tasmania
