A client was referred to TASS in late 2018. They were a full time High School student who requested support to obtain independent accommodation predominately to be able to work more hours and apply for apprenticeships. They had no other family in Tasmania.
During their engagement with TASS their situation changed significantly. They were very motivated to make changes to their circumstances with support from TASS and were adaptable to the changes that were out of their control. They are now employed full time, have their own independent accommodation and have developed strategies to manage their mental health diagnosis. They are now maintaining their tenancy successfully and no longer require support from the TASS team.
