What do you like about your role? What I like most about my role as a Youth Coach in Crisis Accommodation is the opportunity to work closely with young people from all walks of life, each with their own unique personalities. I find it incredibly rewarding to witness their growth and see the pride they take in their own progress. The work is fulfilling because it keeps me engaged with meaningful tasks that directly support these young individuals in areas such as schooling, employment, mental and physical health, and fostering positive relationships. I am also grateful for the chance to build new relationships and establish trust, which is essential in helping them navigate their challenges and move forward in life.
A bit about you: I was born in Canberra and made the move to Tasmania in 2023 to be closer to my extended family. I have loved the change of scenery living on the North-West coast for its natural beauty. When living in Canberra my background was in bookkeeping, however, I recently completed a psychology degree, driven by my desire to work more closely with people and give back to the community. I am a passionate animal lover and a cat mum to three fur babies. In my free time, I enjoy being a social butterfly and travelling with friends and family.
