Meet the team at your local Specsavers

For the past year, the team at Specsavers Devonport, led by Optometrist Shahmani Kentler and Retailer Anafa Chak, has supported YFCC through the Specsavers Community program donating a portion of every pair of glasses sold to the charity.

Shahmani, Anafa and the team are committed to caring for the eyes of the community and have a range of glasses and contact lenses to suit everyone.

The team believes that their customers deserve access to new technology and this is why they have recently invested in an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine. The OCT 3D Optical Imaging instrument uses light waves to create high resolution pictures of the structural layers of the back of the eye, giving clinicians the ability to detect eye diseases such as glaucoma at a much earlier stage than ever before. At Specsavers, OCT is free with every standard eye exam.

Specsavers also offers free contact lens consultation and fittings to ensure customers are matched with the right contact lenses for their needs. Shahmani says, “We want to offer the local community access to outstanding eye care with the latest technology, which is why we don’t charge extra for OCT.

There are over 1,000 frame styles to choose from at Specsavers stores, with complete glasses starting from just $39. At Specsavers Devonport you’ll find glasses from a range of designers such as Alex Perry, Collette Dinnigan, Tommy Hilfiger offering the Devonport community high quality eyewear at affordable prices.
