Name: Natalie ”Nat” Zender
YFCC Service Area: Family Support Team Leader
What do you like about your role? It has only been a few weeks since I commenced working in the role, backfilling the incredibly talented shoes of Lindsay! So far I can say I am enjoying the challenge of learning a whole new role as both a Team Leader and Family Support Worker across the NW. The YFCC team have been very welcoming and I feel very much a part of the furniture already! I have always had a passion for working with, and helping people – so this role fits me perfectly.
A bit about you: I have come over to YFCC after having worked in the Justice sector (Community Corrections) for the past nine years! I was born and raised in Devonport and left our beautiful coast to study a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) in Hobart. I returned back “home” to Devonport nine years ago, at the request of my sister Mel and my twin nephews Oliver and Liam. I am a dedicated daughter, aunty, loyal friend and dog mumma to a Westie, Coco and her son, Hamish. I have recently embarked on a new hobby of chasing waterfalls, which brings added danger for anyone who knows me – I was quite a clumsy/uncoordinated child! My happy place is the West Coast of Tas, where we have a family shack – you’ll find me and the family there in the holidays!
