For YFCC Youth Coach Kellie Ryan even the smallest moments of support can make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.
Based at Malana in Launceston, Kellie enjoys helping young people recognise their strengths, build confidence and discover new possibilities for their future.
“I like knowing that even small actions, conversations or moments of support can make a positive difference in a young person’s life,” Kellie said.
She also enjoys the variety her role brings, with no two days quite the same.
“The work involves problem-solving, creativity, relationship-building and adapting to each young person’s needs.”
Outside of work, Kellie is a keen netball player and coach, spending much of her spare time on the court or coaching junior teams.
She particularly enjoys helping young players develop their skills, build confidence and discover a love for the game.
For Kellie, there’s nothing better than being part of a team, cheering others on and enjoying a little healthy competition, complete with plenty of sideline encouragement and the occasional shout of “Arms up!”
Whether at Malana or on the netball court, Kellie’s passion for encouraging young people, building confidence and helping others reach their potential shines through.
