On Thursday October 8th YFCC was proud to host the inaugural Inspiring Youth Awards. The awards highlighted the many and ongoing contributions young people make to the North West Tasmanian community and provided an opportunity for recognition and reward. We had young people from right across the North West Coast nominated and we had over 80 community members come to the awards to help us celebrate (in a socially distanced fashion). The event was also supported by SeaFM’s Lee & Jess who played the role of MCs and 2020 Young Tasmanian of the Year, Will Smith was the guest speaker.
The winner of each of the categories is:
Yes I Can! – Esther Adams from Sheffield
The Great Mate – Toby Randall-Ardle from Smithton
They Did What? – Olivia Williams from Wynyard
Kindness Counts – Tyron Roberts from Wynyard
Quiet Achiever – Jessie-Jo Ayton from Devonport
