YFCC partnered with St John First Aid this month to deliver a Community First Aid workshop at the Junction Hub in Devonport.
Fifteen participants were provided with information and “live practice” on various first aid skills with the aim to make them better prepared to respond to an emergency situation before medical help arrives.
On completion of the workshop, participants were presented with certificates of attendance and given first aid kits to take home.
The workshop was delivered free to all participants, fully funded by the Devonport City Council through their Community Grants program.
