Have your say on the future of Tasmania’s community services

Community service organisations across Tasmania are facing increasing pressure from rising workforce and fuel costs, growing demand for services and ongoing funding challenges.

The Tasmanian Council of Social Service (TasCOSS) is calling on organisations across the state to share their experiences through its Community Services Industry Sustainability Pulse Check.

The Pulse Check aims to provide TasCOSS with up-to-date evidence about the pressures facing the community services sector and the impact they are having on organisations on the ground.

The findings will help TasCOSS advocate for sustainable funding that better reflects the true cost of delivering community services and demonstrate to government the impact rising costs are having across the sector.

Organisations of all sizes, locations and areas of work are encouraged to participate and you do not need to be a TasCOSS member to have your say.

The more organisations that take part, the stronger the evidence TasCOSS will have to take to government.

Key findings from the Pulse Check will also be shared with participating organisations.

As a thank you, everyone who completes the Pulse Check can enter the draw to win one of two complimentary registrations to the TasCOSS Conference in August 2027.

The Community Services Industry Sustainability Pulse Check closes at 5pm on Friday 4 September 2026.
