We are excited to announce that the 2025 YFCC Inspiring Youth Awards are open for nominations! The Inspiring Youth Awards 2025 are a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the everyday actions and achievements of young North West Tasmanians. There are three categories, each of which are focused on creating an opportunity to let a young person know that they and their contributions are valued and appreciated.

Eligibility

  • Nominees must be between 13–18 years old (born in any year between 2007–2012 inclusive).
  • Nominees must live in or have significant ties to the following municipalities: Latrobe, Kentish, Devonport, Central Coast, Burnie, Waratah-Wynyard, Circular Head, West Coast or King Island.
  • Nominees can only be nominated for a single category.

There are three categories, the winner of each category wins $300. All nominees (and their supporters) are invited to an awards presentation luncheon in Devonport on Wednesday 8th of October.

The three categories are:

  • The Great Mate Award
  • The Quiet Achiever
  • The High Five Award

Please share this as far and wide as possible, anyone (teacher, family, employer, friend etc.) can nominate a young person and help them feel seen and appreciated by their community.
