The Inspiring Youth Awards 2026 are a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the everyday actions and achievements of young North West Tasmanians. There are three categories, each of which are focused on creating an opportunity to let a young person know that themselves, and their contributions are valued and appreciated.

There are three categories young people can be nominated for:
The Lowkey Legend Award
Recognising someone who brings positive energy, supports others, and leads by example. They’re the kind of person people genuinely look up to and respect.
Quiet Achiever Award
For the person who quietly gets things done, always puts in the effort, and can be counted on no matter what. They achieve great things without needing recognition or attention.
The Great Mate Award
Celebrating the mate who always has your back. This award highlights someone who shows genuine support, encouragement, and kindness to the people around them.

Nominations Close: 26th August 2026
Award Presentation Luncheon: 7th October 2026
Eligibility
- Nominees must be between 13–18 years old (born in any year between 2008–2013 inclusive).
- Nominees must live in or have significant ties to the following municipalities: Latrobe, Kentish, Devonport, Central Coast, Burnie, Waratah-Wynyard, Circular Head, West Coast or King Island.
- Nominees can only be nominated for a single category.
