The People Behind YFCC
Graham Marshall, Operations Manager
YFCC’s impact across our community is both broad and profound. Through youth accommodation, family support services, drug and alcohol counselling, employment programs, and community initiatives, YFCC supported more than 14,000 individuals during 2025-26.
|
|
For over 45 years, we have stood alongside some of the most vulnerable people in our community, providing support, hope, and opportunities to build a better future.
|

Homelessness Week brought the community together
Homelessness Week provided an opportunity to raise awareness of homelessness in Australia, challenge common misconceptions and highlight the importance of safe, secure and affordable housing for everyone.
|
Throughout the week, YFCC was proud to connect with the community through two events that showcased the organisation's accommodation services and the support available to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

By providing access to the gym facilities at Devonport City Strikers, Island Sport & Performance has created valuable opportunities for young people to focus on their health, wellbeing and personal growth.

Recognise a Young Person Making a Difference
There's still time to recognise a young person who is making a positive difference in their school, family or community through the 2026 YFCC Inspiring Youth Awards.

The awards celebrate the everyday achievements of young people aged 13 to 18 across North West Tasmania, recognising those who quietly go above and beyond to support others, lead by example or make a lasting impact in their community.

Meet Jo Keddie
Crisis Accommodation – Youth Coach
With more than 20 years of experience working with young people, Jo Keddie brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion and dedication to her role as a Youth Coach in YFCC's Crisis Accommodation team.
|
Working across Launceston and Devonport, Jo enjoys being a positive role model and supporting young people as they navigate challenges and work towards brighter futures.
