CEO MESSAGE

I think we are all feeling like the year is racing ahead. Summer holidays are feeling like a distant memory.

YFCC has been busy recruiting for several positions. Recruitment is no longer done with ease, with the challenges of workforce shortages being felt across the sector.

In good news, together with our partners, we held the official launch of the new NW Driver Mentor Program in Burnie on the 19th of January. It was wonderful to have Skills, Training and Workforce Growth Minister Felix Minister Ellis and Chair of the Tasmanian Community Fund, Sally Darke attend and support the event. Please read more about this below.

The Tasmanian Child and Youth Safe Framework also officially commenced on the 1st of January. YFCC has met the requirements for the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations for some time now, so we are well positioned to ensure we can meet these new requirements – and, most importantly, ensure we continue to prioritise and promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

Thank you for taking the time to read the newsletter. If you would like to contribute to our next edition, please contact us at reception@yfcc.com.au.

Regards,

Ros Atkinson
CEO
