North West Driver Mentor Program delivering life-changing results
Our North West Driver Mentor Program (NWDMP) has achieved remarkable success, helping more than 80 young people gain their driver’s licence and improve their pathways to employment.
|
The place-based program uses paid driver mentors to support young people aged 16 to 24 to obtain their licence, helping remove barriers to employment, education and training.
|
|
For many young people, completing the 80 supervised driving hours required to sit their provisional licence test can be challenging.
|
|
|
|

Helping parents navigate big feelings and everyday challenges
PARENTS and carers in Burnie are invited to join YFCC’s upcoming 1-2-3 Magic & Emotion Coaching Parenting Program this September.
|
Delivered through YFCC’s Helping Young Families Program, the free three-session program will provide parents and carers with practical tools and strategies to help navigate some of the everyday challenges of raising children.

Have your say on the future of Tasmania’s community services
Community service organisations across Tasmania are facing increasing pressure from rising workforce and fuel costs, growing demand for services and ongoing funding challenges.

The Tasmanian Council of Social Service (TasCOSS) is calling on organisations across the state to share their experiences through its Community Services Industry Sustainability Pulse Check.
|
|
The Pulse Check aims to provide TasCOSS with up-to-date evidence about the pressures facing the community services sector and the impact they are having on organisations on the ground.

For YFCC Crisis Accommodation Support Service team member Eddy, one of the most rewarding parts of his role is seeing young people work to improve their circumstances and build towards their future.
