What I like about my role? Being in a role you know is serving a positive purpose and can have a real impact on a young person’s future. Working in an environment where I’m able to build kind, caring and supportive rapport with young people that are experiencing forms of crisis. Providing a nurturing safe place where young people can recognise their self-worth and that their valued – you couldn’t ask for much better than that for a job! 😊
Watching a young person grow, achieve and transition into their own independent living is a real highlight of the role.
A bit about me: When I was 10yrs-14yrs old I was a competition swimmer and held the title for the fastest freestyle swimmer in the state for two years.
I love dirt bike/motorbike riding, the adrenaline and sense of freedom it gives is like no other.
I have a huge love of culture and travel. I have a genuine fear of not seeing the entire world. I was an international flight attendant in my early twenties. I lived in Dubai for four years and Koh Samui for 3 years where I feel I will return to live one day in the future, to hopefully work with orphaned/homeless and disadvantaged youth suffering addiction.
I come from a big family, I’m one of 5 siblings; my family is my best friend. ❤️
