CEO MESSAGE
After nine years of dedicated leadership, Nick Sherry stepped down from his role as President of the Board following the AGM. Throughout his tenure, Nick has been an exceptional leader, guiding YFCC with a steady hand through both challenges and triumphs. He has remained committed to YFCC’s vision, providing invaluable strategic and financial insight while fostering a diverse and skillful Board. Nick’s contributions have helped to shape YFCC’s path forward, and we are deeply grateful for his service.
Sarah Steel, who has been on the Board since October 2021, has been elected as the new Chair. Sarah is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Community Directors and was formerly a regional manager for CatholicCare.
As we enter the final weeks of the year, we take a moment to reflect on all that 2024 has brought—both its challenges and accomplishments. We are deeply appreciative for the dedication and support of our Board, staff, partners, and community, whose commitment has made our progress possible.
We extend our warmest wishes for a joyful and restful Christmas and New Year season. With our vision guiding us, we look forward to building on this year’s achievements and reaching new milestones together in the year ahead.
