CEO MESSAGE

We are delighted to share some wonderful news and recent highlights from across the Organisation.

Congratulations to Sarah Moore, who has been appointed as YFCC’s new Finance Manager. Sarah has been with the Organisation for two and a half years and has become an invaluable asset. Having just successfully steered us through a busy audit and financial reporting season, Sarah has well and truly earned her stripes in stepping into this key management role.

With the external audit and annual reporting now complete, YFCC is well prepared and looking forward to our Annual General Meeting in November.

We are sincerely grateful to the Burnie City Council for their recent grant in support of The Junction, our youth and family early intervention hub in Burnie. This funding will strengthen delivery of our much-loved Arvo’s program.

We’re excited to launch Ignite Your Future, a new employment program made possible via funding from the Tasmanian Community Fund, the Gibson Foundation and YFCC. This initiative will provide career guidance and support for grade 7-10 students who are disengaged (or at-risk) at Ulverstone Secondary College, Parklands High School and Latrobe High School.

Finally, YFCC was proud to be part of the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal and ABC Takeover event in Burnie. It was an incredible platform for local young people to share their voices and ideas.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support of YFCC and the work we do alongside young people, families, and communities across the North and North West.

Thank you for taking the time to read the newsletter. If you would like to contribute to our next edition, please contact us at reception@yfcc.com.au.

Regards,

Ros Atkinson
CEO
