CEO MESSAGE

Over this past month we have been very fortunate to have Ken Sherry join the YFCC Board. Ken has a lived experience of drug dependence and is a victim survivor. He has experience providing peer support, has taken a lead role in establishing a secular movement within Narcotics Anonymous and has highly relevant board experience. Ken’s values, passion and experiences will be an absolute asset to the Board and Organisation.

We are also very grateful to have Jacinta Corcoran join us in the role of Clinical Supervisor and Service Improvement. Jacinta has over 7 years’ experience working in a clinical and leadership capacity and extensive experience in service improvement, including providing support and tools through periods of significant change.

All is progressing well for the new Youth2Independence facility in Burnie. With the facility set to open late May, we are currently recruiting for both youth coaching and facilitator roles – both provide excellent opportunities to make a meaningful and positive impact for young people in our communities. Please see SEEK for further details.

Thank you for taking the time to read the newsletter. If you would like to contribute to our next edition, please contact us at reception@yfcc.com.au.

Regards,

Ros Atkinson
CEO
