CEO MESSAGE
It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. It has certainly been a productive and stimulating year for YFCC despite the challenges. Our 2020-21 Annual Report showcases the programs, services and activities YFCC has provided throughout the year, however, so much more has occurred since writing that report, with new youth employment services commencing and the announcement of new youth accommodation services coming online in 2022/2023.
We are delighted we have been selected as the provider for the new Youth2Independence facility which is to be constructed in Burnie. The facility, made possible by the Tasmanian Government, will provide tenancies and support for young people, aged 16-24, to become fully independent. We are looking forward to this new service commencing in 2023.
In this final newsletter for 2021, I wish to thank our highly valued funders, partners and donors, who continue to support the work of YFCC. I would also like to acknowledge and thank our incredible team who are so passionate and dedicated in what they do, and our wise and dynamic Board members. You all continue to inspire me.
Most importantly, I thank our many clients and communities who trust us to walk with them on the road of life. “Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.” Joseph Campbell
I look forward to working with you all again in 2022.
A happy and healthy Christmas and New Year to all.

SECTOR & COMMUNITY NEWS
Earlier this year with the support of the Tasmanian Government, Lifeline Tasmania has set up A Tasmanian Lifeline to provide support, information and referrals for Tasmanians doing it tough.
As you would be aware, many Tasmanians are experiencing anxiety, worry, fear, social isolation, financial distress and a sense of helplessness because of the coronavirus pandemic. We are available for free for anyone who is struggling right now.
