CEO MESSAGE

What a year 2020 has been – our 40th year of operation. I think we are all looking forward to the end of year break.

In this final newsletter for 2020 I wish to thank Sylvia Berger, Commonwealth Bank (Burnie), Specsavers, Synectic Group, Devonport Stamp Club and Australian Red Cross (Burnie) for their kind and generous donations this past month. Every donation adds to the support we are able to provide for our clients.

I also wish to thank our many clients and communities who trust us to walk the path with them. Thank you also to our valued funders, partners and donors, who continue to support the work of YFCC. I would also like to thank our team of passionate and devoted staff and our dynamic Board members. More than ever this year, you have gone above and beyond. I look forward to working with you all again in 2021.

A happy and healthy Christmas and New Year to all.

Thank you for taking the time to read the newsletter. If you would like to contribute in our next edition, please contact us on reception@yfcc.com.au
Regards,

Ros Atkinson

YFCC CELEBRATES 40 YEARS!

November 2020 marked a significant milestone for YFCC as we celebrated 40 years of offering services and supports to North West Tasmanians. The organisation started with a small group of concerned community members working to address the issue of homelessness for young women in the community.

Lifeline Tasmania

Earlier this year with the support of the Tasmanian Government, Lifeline Tasmania has set up A Tasmanian Lifeline to provide support, information and referrals for Tasmanians doing it tough.

As you would be aware, many Tasmanians are experiencing anxiety, worry, fear, social isolation, financial distress and a sense of helplessness because of the coronavirus pandemic. We are available for free for anyone who is struggling right now.
