In May 2013 two long standing not-for-profit Organisations, Youth and Family Focus Inc. and Community Connections Inc., merged to become Youth, Family and Community Connections Inc.
The merger was a direct response to the need to ensure long-term and sustainable service delivery. The depth of talent and range of skills and knowledge within both organisations being complementary, it was recognised that by pooling resources more effective outcomes could be achieved with reduced chances of service duplication.
The Organisation continues to provide a range of services to young people, families and individuals in communities across the North West Coast and West Coast of Tasmania, with the aim that they are able to access to the support, encouragement and resources they need.
We offer a diverse range of flexible and accessible programs that promote the wellbeing and safety of children, young people and families.
Wherever possible, we work in partnership with other services to provide a coordinated response to address the needs of young people and their families who are facing challenges in their lives or supporting someone who is facing a challenge.
We use a range of feedback and review mechanisms to build our capacity to better identify and effectively offer superior services that are centred within evidence based practices.
Our dedicated group of qualified and experienced counsellors and support staff contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement. That very culture has earned us accreditation with the Quality Improvement Council, which includes compliance with the 19 Health & Community Services Standards and 2 Alcohol, Tobacco & other Drug (ATOD) Standards
